The name
Why LaVigne
La vigneFrench for “the vine”
LaVigne is my mother's family name and the name I've always identified with most. When my wife and I married, we chose to carry it forward as our family name. I'm now legally becoming Andrew LaVigne in honor of Robin LaVigne and Emile LaVigne, whose lives and values shaped the person I am today.
In French, la vigne means “the vine”—a symbol of roots, growth, connection, and the patient work of building something that lasts. That meaning fits both where I come from and what I hope to create.
